# Invoke a runtime

The `invoke` command invokes a deployed runtime by name or id, resolving its endpoint and authentication automatically before sending a message.

## invoke

Invoke a deployed runtime (resolves endpoint + auth).

Passing any Harness override, `--max-llm-calls`, or `--protocol` selects the Harness request-level override endpoint. In that mode, `--path` cannot be used. Overrides apply only to the current request and do not modify `harness.yaml`.
