# Memory

Send events from an existing session to the configured memory backend for later retrieval. Configure the backend first and confirm the application, user, and session identifiers; this endpoint does not provision a memory backend

Ingestion sends conversation data to that backend for processing. Success returns JSON `null`, without extracted memories. Harness deployments use their corresponding [memory ingestion endpoint](https://docs.veadk.xyz/productions/api-reference/preview/en/harness-runtime/update-memory.md)
