Long-term memory preserves user preferences, task conclusions, or reusable facts across sessions. VeADK Go v1.0.1 creates an ADK memory.Service through memory.NewLongTermMemoryService, then passes it to the ADK runner as MemoryService.

Minimal Flow

If the agent should actively retrieve long-term memory, mount LoadLongMemoryTool:
After a conversation is complete, write the session into the memory service:

VeADK Backends

Available backends: The optional third argument to NewLongTermMemoryService(backend, config, topK...) controls how many memories are retrieved. The default is 5.

Good Memory Candidates

  • Stable user preferences, such as language, format, and business constraints.
  • Confirmed project background, terminology, and common resources.
  • Reusable troubleshooting conclusions or task experience.
Do not write tokens, AK/SK, API keys, or unauthorized private data into long-term memory.
