Overview

TrustedMcpToolset connects to services supporting the Trusted MCP protocol. Enable it with both a Streamable HTTP connection and the x-trusted-mcp: true header. An Authorization header alone does not enable trusted transport. The server must support this protocol; connect ordinary MCP servers using Custom MCP servers.

Prerequisites

Install python -m pip install veadk-python and obtain the MCP URL, credentials, and trusted connection requirements from the service provider. Set MCP_SERVER_URL and MCP_SERVER_TOKEN, then verify discovery before registering the toolset with an agent.

Usage

mcp_connection.py
The output lists tools available to the credential. When registering with Agent(tools=[toolset]), close the connection after completing the application calls as well.

Parameters

connection_params is required; use StreamableHTTPConnectionParams for trusted transport. Other keyword arguments use the installed Google ADK McpToolset parameters and defaults; see the complete parameter table. Use tool_filter to restrict tools and header_provider for request-specific identity headers. Do not reuse a fixed user token across different users. Trusted transport does not replace server authorization, and successful discovery does not authorize every business operation. See Trusted MCP security for deployment and server requirements.
